Position Overview

This is a hands-on residential cleaning position.

The majority of your day will be spent cleaning clients’ homes while learning and following Oktogo’s cleaning systems, quality standards, and client preferences.

We’re looking for someone who can follow instructions, work efficiently, pay close attention to details, communicate professionally, and consistently provide high-quality work.

You’ll receive training on our cleaning methods, products, equipment, procedures, and expectations.

As you become more experienced and confident in the role, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow into more advanced or leadership positions within the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential cleaning services, including recurring cleanings, deep cleanings, move-in/move-out cleanings, and post-construction cleaning
• Follow company cleaning procedures, checklists, and quality standards
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, floors, and other areas of the home according to company standards
• Maintain strong attention to detail in every home
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality results
• Follow client-specific instructions and preferences
• Communicate professionally with clients, owners, and team members
• Identify areas that may require additional attention and communicate them when necessary
• Properly use and care for cleaning products, supplies, and equipment
• Complete quality checks of your work before leaving a home
• Help keep company supplies and equipment clean and organized
• Treat every client’s home and belongings with care and respect
• Represent Oktogo Cleaning Co. professionally at all times

Previous residential cleaning experience is preferred, but it is not required for the right candidate.

You are not expected to know everything on your first day. We will train you. What matters most is that you are willing to learn, improve, and consistently put effort into your work.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Availability during weekday business hours
• Ability to travel to client homes throughout Birmingham and surrounding areas
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that involves physical work throughout the day.

Applicants must be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 30–35 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, kneel, squat, and reach repeatedly throughout the day
• Safely use step ladders
• Carry cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency

Pay & Schedule

• $16–$25 per hour based on experience and performance

Our typical schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime business hours, generally between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Hours will vary depending on client schedules, travel time between appointments, and seasonal demand.

This position is expected to begin at approximately 10–25 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours as Oktogo continues to grow.

Occasional weekend work may also be available for team members who are interested in additional hours.
