About This Position
Assist the Chief Aviation Maintenance Technician in inspecting, maintaining, rebuilding, altering and approving aircraft for the OSU Flight Center. Prepare and submit reports and other documentation as required by the FAA.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Aircraft maintenance (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Two years college or technical training or five to seven years experience inspecting and maintaining light single and multi-engine aircraft in a flight school or high utilization environment.
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Must have FAA mechanic certificate with both airframe and power plant rating and inspection authority. FAA IA is a required certification. Knowledge of FAR part 141 and 135.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Inspecting and maintaining single and multi-engine piston powered aircrafts. Good communication skills: oral and written. Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce safety practices. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple aircraft schedules.
- Vocational/Technical Aviation Maintenance or related field
- Three or more years of supervision
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with Talon Systems maintenance system RMS.
Ability to oversee a team of technicians.
Salary : $26 - $32
