What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Recruiter position at Oklahoma Goodwill?

JOB SUMMARY: Program Recruiter works with the Workforce Development employment and training units to ensure overall success. This position serves as the program client recruiter, partner liaison, and employer advisor for mission services. This employee serves to recruit clients for participation in the Skills Training and Employment Program (STEP), enrollment in Goodwill Career Pathways Institute (GCPI) courses, and participants for our employment programs for youth.

Starting Pay: Up to $52k DOE.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruit new program participants for all workforce development programs including employment services, training, and employment preparation program.
  • Recruit for the GCPI courses/certificates.
  • Ensure all recruitment paperwork is complete and recorded securely and accurately in the client management system.
  • Plan and deliver recruitment events for employment and training program areas.
  • Obtain all pertinent and relevant documents for program admissibility including age appropriate documentation.
  • Cultivate partner relationships and maintain relationships with partners through consistent contact.
  • Ensure timely and consistent client follow-up, communication, encouragement, and deliver strong customer service.
  • Collaborate with Mobile Trainers/Case Managers on educating community on our mobile services.
  • Coordinate with partners to host training at partner sites as needed for mobile services.
  • Assist Hub sites with community outreach and enrollment in their communities as needed.
  • Coordinate graduation services for program completers, as needed.
  • Monitor and track participant performance through case notes, completions, services, program withdrawals, etc.
  • Complete and run reports for the unit as requested.
  • Submit monthly reports and success stories to leadership.
  • Speak on behalf of the programs to the public and serve as the organizational liaison between Goodwill and the public and events as needed.
  • Create processes, SOPs, and checklists for the programs.
  • Attend classes some evenings and weekend recruitment events as needed.
  • Build effective partnerships to expand programs, service delivery, and reach a more expansive audience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred, or comparable work experience and skill attainment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse clients and other team members.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Apps, and Outlook and able to navigate the internet easily.
  • Maintain valid Oklahoma driver’s license, current auto insurance and tag.
  • Maintain a good driving record and pass MVR check. This is a driving position (safety sensitive) and is subject to the rules of Goodwill driving requirements including those related to medical marijuana licenses.
  • Successfully pass OSBI/DOC background check as well as drug screening.

  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain:

o CPR and 1st Aid Training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   • Frequent lifting of 20 pounds, or more with assistance.
  • Employee is required to operate a computer.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work in a climate-controlled environment most of the time.
  • Low-moderate noise level.
  • Works 40 hours per week or more when required.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
  • Local travel up to 30% of the time typically day events.
