As the Blue Basketball Operations Coordinator, your work is important in providing support and assistance to our operations at the Oklahoma City Blue at the ION-Edmond. We are looking for someone who strives to set and maintain the highest standards for an elite performing operation, specifically, an individual who will lead logistical planning and execution, audit and improve the environment by uncovering working best practices, perform daily administrative duties, and support special projects that require additional effort and coordination. Additionally, this role will serve the Blue GM and Blue Head Coach by supporting the planning and execution of key activities related to player experience, including player visits, draft workouts, player onboarding / offboarding, and milestone season events such as the G League Draft. This role is assigned to the Oklahoma City Blue and the work location will be in Edmond, OK.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with day-to-day logistics for Blue Basketball Operations
- Daily environment audits to ensure proper set-up, cleanliness, and organization
- Generation of new ideas and proposals for cultivating a high performing environment at the Blue
- Bi-weekly status reports to Growth & Governance on the Blue
- Administrative tasks for Blue GM and Blue Head Coach including scheduling and travel
- Organizing, writing, and implementing player and staff itineraries
- G-League Draft preparation and Draft Day logistics
- On-court support for players and coaches during practice and player development sessions, if needed
- Assist the Travel & Logistics Coordinator with game night set up and team travel
- Help maintain the Blue ION (e.g. supplies, stocking, mail, cleanliness)
- Assist with visiting team practices
- Work with our chefs to coordinate food for players between the two facilities
- Other duties and projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional conduct
- Readily accessible and responsive to communication
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and desire to manage projects to completion and deliver an outstanding work product on time
- Proactive communication and a commitment to managing up
- Proficient in computer word processing programs such as Microsoft Office applications and slides.com
- Ability to maintain confidential and critical information
Additional details:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Vice President of Growth and Governance. Work schedule may include long hours on short notice as well as work on evenings, weekends and holidays.
