Essential Job Functions
Spiritual Leadership

- Ensure that a biblical, Christ-centered perspective is integrated into all aspects of the technology office
- Provide organizational and spiritual leadership for the technology office staff
Administrative Leadership
- Adheres to all policies and procedures governing the operation of the school
- Maintain an excellent working knowledge of all policies, procedures, and handbooks
- Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents, or staff
- Attends and arrives punctually to scheduled devotional, committee, and faculty meetings
- Maintains professional dress and appearance as specified in the Employee Handbook
- Represents the school favorably and professionally to its constituency

- Delegate and assign responsibilities to the technology office staff

Technology Leadership
- Guide OCS in the planning and implementation of technology
- Meet with principals and other administrators to evaluate current programs, assess needs, and prepare for future implementations of technology and school-based technology instructional goals
- Lead the technology committee in designing the technology plan to guide technology and meet ACSI requirements
- Stay current with trends in education and technology to make recommendations for the direction of OCS technology
- Guide principals and teachers in effective technology use
- Oversee technology infrastructure to provide a secure and productive network
- Evaluate internet, content filtering, and virus protection providers annually
- Upgrade and maintain servers, switches, and fiber optics
- Prepare for network expansion according to the technology plan
- Prepare backup procedures and a disaster recovery plan
- Analyze departmental business requirements to determine technology needs
- Coordinate with principals and technology staff to offer technology-related professional development for staff
- Coordinate instruction and documentation for the effective use of technology
- Oversee instruction to encourage technology integration
- Oversee the data management needs of the school
- Guide the standardization of data entry for the student information system
- Provide yearly updates and maintenance of student data for the student information system, library systems, and emergency communication system
- Support the use of the student information system
- Install and update software
- Follow the software licensing requirements and maintain licensing records
- Properly dispose of old hardware
- Oversees the phone system and serves as a liaison between OCS and Nobel
Additional Duties or Responsibilities
- Support the broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when possible. (Back to School Worship night, Big Bash, Saints 5K, Drama production, Athletic Events, Band performances, Fine Arts night, Carnivals, etc.)
- Treats all school-owned technology (hardware and software) with respect, care, professionalism, and in accordance with the Technology Use Agreement
