Description of a Furniture Sales Representative:

Great style – You are able to use your design skills to find the missing link and help customers solve all their interior design challenges, as only a designer would be able to.

People – You just love to help people. You enjoy building relationships and sharing your knowledge of design and eye for style.

Great communicators – You know how to communicate professionally, convey a great written tone, where your personality always shines through. Customers love to chat with you!

Market Knowledge – You’re familiar with the product lines across many retail and wholesale home vendors, and can quickly find the perfect piece for your client.

Sales Minded – You have experience in sales and the uncanny ability to quickly decipher a client's needs and match them with the perfect products.

Gain experience working with a variety of clients of varying design styles and budgets, from all over the greater Dayton, Cincinnati, Kentucky and now Indiana regions. Receive ongoing support from the Furniture Fair customer and designer support teams - you do the design work and create great client experiences; we’ll do the rest!

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

• Utilize design expertise to assist clients in one on one consultations in the store and in-home regarding the design of their living spaces to drive store sales
• Perform productive in-home consultations including the ability to accurately measure and assess the client's living space
• Engage the clients in a professional and personable way that demonstrates your personal passion for the product
• Maintain a professional appearance that represents the Furniture Fair brand
• Create and present design plans based on client's needs, style, preferences and living space
• Follow through on product arrivals and set up with each client to ensure a seamless experience
• Demonstrate excellent clienteling skills including following up with clients regarding promotions, new product arrivals etc.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions in order to achieve and exceed established sales and productivity goals
• Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design center assortment
