Position Overview
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages and light food items while delivering exceptional guest service. This role also includes educating guests on menu offerings, making recommendations, and supporting a clean, efficient, and welcoming café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and light food items
- Educate guests on menu options and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all work areas
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
- Support equipment upkeep and report maintenance needs as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including alcohol service regulations and possession of a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
- Contribute to smooth daily operations and an elevated guest experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit required prior to hire
- Strong punctuality and reliability
- Ability to consistently deliver a proactive, guest-focused experience
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with varying pace
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours) and perform tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 40 lbs, as well as bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Strong manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate clearly in English, including basic written documentation
