Student Worker - Esports Assistant

Purpose/Objective of the Role:
Support the daily operations and professional broadcast production of the Ohio Wesleyan Esports program. This role ensures smooth team coordination and enhances the program’s visibility through high-quality livestreams and recruitment support.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Operations & Logistics:
- Assist with scheduling practices and matches, track attendance, and maintain team records.
Communication:
- Manage program communications via Discord and email; support recruitment efforts by coordinating with prospective students.
Broadcast Production:
- Set up and operate OBS for Twitch livestreams, including managing audio, transitions, and overlays.
Technical Support:
- Maintain broadcast equipment and troubleshoot basic technical issues during live events.
Digital Presence:
- Assist with social media planning and create post-stream highlight clips.
Qualifications:
Core Skills:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with strong communication skills.
Technical:
- Familiarity with Discord and Google Workspace; basic knowledge of OBS (or willingness to learn) for production-focused applicants.
General:
- Interest in esports, digital media, or team management; prior OWU involvement or gaming experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience with Twitch, video editing, or production equipment is a plus
