Job Title- Assistant Teacher
The Classroom Assistant Teacher works in partnership with the lead teacher to help maintain a structured, engaging learning environment for young children. This position involves assisting with daily classroom operations, supervising children during both indoor and outdoor activities, and helping facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Responsibilities also include organizing and preparing instructional materials, guiding children through routines and activities, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently upheld. The aide also communicates with families or guardians as needed to support each child’s development and overall well-being.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, applicants should meet one of the following criteria: possess a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; be actively working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education; or be enrolled in a CDA program with the expectation of completion within two years of hire.
COMPENSATION: Jefferson Co. $16.80 - $25.38 Based on Education and Experience.
