Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions
Lead and manage the truck reconditioning process through key performance indicators in (3) sub departments of Cosmetic, Mechanical and Detail reconditioning.
- Manage average reconditioning cost objective per truck while ensuring monthly unit output targets are met.
- Develop and distribute weekly reconditioning plans at least one week in advance to support parts procurement planning.
- Analyze cross-team performance gaps to determine root causes and implement corrective action plans to achieve departmental objectives.
- Communicate monthly goals, progress, and updates clearly to department leaders, and conduct regular one-on-one reviews to evaluate monthly scorecard performance.
- Coach, mentor, and hold leaders accountable for truck quality, KPI performance, and team morale
- Manage employee performance through training, coaching, and performance management practices
- Lead daily huddles with supervisors to review progress and align priorities
- Monitor and manage the facility’s monthly P&L budgets
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and growth initiatives
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting through Excel and ERP reporting
- Oversee all facility equipment, assets, and maintenance schedules within company systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment—inside and out
- Continuously document, refine, and improve all reconditioning processes
- Ensure all process documentation is organized, accessible, and consistently followed by all
- Enforce safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Escalate issues and obstacles to senior management as needed
- Partner with Human Resources to develop policies, training programs, and team support initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience in Body Shop, Truck Repair, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus but not required
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems and reporting
