Counter Sales / In-Store Associate (Full-Time)Ohio Surplus is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Full-Time Counter Sales / In-Store Associate. This position involves assisting customers, handling merchandise, operating equipment, and helping maintain an organized and efficient store environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection and purchases in store or on the phone
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move inventory safely
- Process sales transactions and assist with order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Use computers for inventory lookup, sales transactions, and other store operations
- Assist with receiving and managing incoming inventory
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Forklift experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers and learning store software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Warehouse or retail experience preferred
- Availability to work occasional Saturdays
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
