We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is responsible for leading the estimating process from initial review through final quote submission, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for a wide range of fabricated metal components.
The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication estimating, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and customers.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the full estimating process from RFQ receipt through final quote delivery
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate cost estimates
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns
- Develop quotes for a variety of manufactured items
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and sourcing teams to validate costs and manufacturability
- Interface with customers as needed to clarify RFQs, review scope, and discuss pricing
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates, assumptions, and historical pricing data
- Continuously identify opportunities for cost improvement and process efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing estimating, preferably within metal fabrication
- Familiarity with carbon steel quoting; exposure to aluminum and stainless steel is a plus
- Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, drilling, tapping, and finishing
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in cost analysis and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines effectively
Other Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
- Background in engineering, sourcing, or a related technical field (degree not required)
- Prior experience working directly with customers on RFQs and pricing discussions
- Familiarity with Paperless Parts quoting platform.
- Experience with an MRP software (ex. SAGE)
