What You Will Do:
As an AmeriCorps Member, you will receive comprehensive training and be assigned to Dixie Elementary for the school year. Your day-to-day will include:
- Targeted Tutoring: Provide 1:1 or small-group support to K-5 students who are currently performing below-proficient in reading or math.
- Consistent Mentorship: Work with a designated, consistent list of students to track progress and build their confidence over the school year.
- Collaboration: Partner with school staff to implement proven tutoring strategies.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a dedicated service position. In return for your 9-month commitment, you will receive:
- Monthly Living Stipend: $1,500 per month.
- Segal AmeriCorps Education Award: Up to $3,850 upon successful completion of your service term (can be used to pay off existing student loans or future college tuition).
