Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures.
- Utilize strong communication skills to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
- Maintain organized records of sales data, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store settings with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in retail sales management, including merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, POS systems, and retail math.
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred to ensure smooth store operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
