Position Summary
The Technical Sales Representative will have overall responsibility for the achievement of Ohio Magnetics sales and growth objectives within Inspections & Repair segments. This is a remote role that reports directly to the Sales Manager. All applicants should reside near a major airport and be able to travel 50% of the time.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct on-site magnet inspections.
- Manage end-to-end workflow of incoming repairs, including initial electrical testing.
- Engage in prospecting activities focused on driving new business in inspection and repair services.
- Responsible for customer service and the attainment of overall sales objectives for lifting magnet and magnetic separation applications.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak to various levels of employees within customer organization.
- Build database of customer magnets for analysis and new business development opportunities
- Assist and support sales representatives to maintain effective communication and deliver sales results.
- Work with engineering to select and/or recommend the proper size equipment per application data with detailed margin analysis on “build to suit” products.
- Provide quotes on new products, repairs, and spare parts within each product line.
- Participate in the sales planning process to achieve annual goals.
- Provide timely reporting of sales activities and efficient quote follow-up to close sales.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field preferred.
- 2 or more years of industrial sales experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate oral and written communication skills.
- Technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical prints.
- Advanced skill with all MS Office products and ERP systems
- Industrial/Manufacturing Experience preferred
Travel Required
- Minimum 50% travel required.
- Must possess a valid Real ID Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
