Job Summary:
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Product Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth of MRO products, including hydraulic hose and coupling, bulk oil, and other related items, across the Ohio CAT territory. This role provides specialized product knowledge, marketing support, and sales guidance to internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate will be skilled at communicating the value of premium parts and services in a price-sensitive market, while demonstrating initiative, teamwork, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Strong understanding of MRO products and their applications.
• Ability to communicate value in a competitive, price-sensitive environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and customer service orientation.
• Commitment to teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Competencies:

• Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for assigned MRO products.
  • Support MSRs, PSSRs, and ISRs in marketing and selling MRO offerings.
  • Identify customer sites suitable for Job Site Solutions (all makes, all models).
• Training & Enablement
  • Assess internal training needs and recommend appropriate in-house or external programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to support sales efforts.
• Marketing & Promotion
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure merchandising efforts are competitive and aligned with market demands.
• Operations & Inventory
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure inventory levels support sales initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance and report on competitive activity.
• Customer & Partner Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, OhioCAT, and Caterpillar.
  • Collaborate with PSMs to optimize the utilization of OhioCAT's MRO offerings.
  • Leverage Caterpillar ASR and product group programs to enhance value delivery.
• Tools & Resources
  • Ensure availability of up-to-date tooling and resources to support product sales and service.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling and standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal.  Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
