What You Will Do

Ohio Lumex is seeking a capable, hard-working, and enthusiastic person with excellent laboratory skills to be a part of our laboratory team. Occasional travel may be required. Compensation and position (analyst I or II) are dependent on level of experience and education. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with full benefits. Other positions in the laboratory may be considered if warranted by experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis of samples following applicable methods and SOP’s.
• Sample preparation, analysis, and data review while ensuring maximum efficiency to process samples on time
• Calibration and maintenance of analytical instrumentation
• Meet laboratory QA/QC objectives
• Learn and understand analytical methods

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree in a scientific field (e.g. chemistry, biology, biochemistry or similar) and some laboratory experience preferred or
• Associate’s degree in STEM or at least two years of professional experience in a laboratory environment
• Experience with Laboratory Instrumentation
• Ability to multi-task and stay on top of many projects at the same time
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of success
• Desire to continuously learn and develop new methods and technologies
• Must be punctual, reliable, and dependable
• Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates are preferred
• Must pass random drug screenings and a criminal background check
• Must be prepared to perform on-site analysis as needed (may require travel)

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
