What You Will Do
Ohio Lumex is seeking a capable, hard-working, and enthusiastic person with excellent laboratory skills to be a part of our laboratory team. Occasional travel may be required. Compensation and position (analyst I or II) are dependent on level of experience and education. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with full benefits. Other positions in the laboratory may be considered if warranted by experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of samples following applicable methods and SOP’s.
- Sample preparation, analysis, and data review while ensuring maximum efficiency to process samples on time
- Calibration and maintenance of analytical instrumentation
- Meet laboratory QA/QC objectives
- Learn and understand analytical methods
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree in a scientific field (e.g. chemistry, biology, biochemistry or similar) and some laboratory experience preferred or
- Associate’s degree in STEM or at least two years of professional experience in a laboratory environment
- Experience with Laboratory Instrumentation
- Ability to multi-task and stay on top of many projects at the same time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of success
- Desire to continuously learn and develop new methods and technologies
- Must be punctual, reliable, and dependable
- Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates are preferred
- Must pass random drug screenings and a criminal background check
- Must be prepared to perform on-site analysis as needed (may require travel)

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
