Impact you’ll make
- Keep inventory records accurate so customers—internal and external—get what they need, when they need it.
- Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through routine cycle counts and targeted actions.
- Enter, reconcile, and validate transactions in Epicor; maintain clean, reliable data.
- Provide clear variance explanations; recommend and track corrective measures.
- Partner with Transaction Control and leadership to lift inventory accuracy.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, ERP discipline, and productivity.
What you’ll handle day-to-day
- Cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
- Inventory reduction initiatives and obsolete stock handling.
- Trend reporting with detailed commentary.
- Administrative tasks as assigned.
- Idea sharing to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Meeting or exceeding KPIs.
- 5S implementation to sustain a high-quality, orderly workspace.
- Compliance with Ohio Gratings safety policies and OSHA training (attendance required).
- Other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High School Diploma (required).
- Forklift Certification (preferred).
- Prior ERP/RF experience; Epicor familiarity a plus.
- About 3 years of related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management; able to meet deadlines while multitasking.
- Clear communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Comfort working independently on routine work; consults supervisor when in doubt.
Physical realities of the job
- Regular standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Frequent reaching/handling of objects, tools, and controls.
- Work across various plant areas, sometimes in wet or humid conditions.
- Lift up to 75 lbs; maintain strong distance/peripheral vision and color recognition.
- Operate near moving mechanical parts and in elevated or confined spaces.
- Remain seated or standing for extended counting periods.
