We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to help keep DERR’s financial operations running smoothly. You’ll use critical thinking skills in handling complex financial data and managing key tasks like processing invoices, managing accounts payable, payroll, and tracking revenue from multiple funding sources.
Collaborating with program offices and division management, you’ll assist with supporting the fiscal aspects of our federal grants, such as reviewing applications, preparing budgets, running status reports, and reconciling grant activity across state and federal accounting systems.
On the project side, you’ll also help coordinate the division’s Level of Effort (LOE) mobilizations, manage project solicitations and create requisitions for awarded work. On top of that, you’ll support DERR’s cost recovery, hazardous waste, and voluntary action programs by preparing billing, tracking revenue, and assisting with collections.

We’ll Tally Up The Key Tasks
- Handle complex financial information and key fiscal practices for DERR.
- Process and analyze revenue from multiple funding sources.
- Assist in the fiscal administration of federal grants.
- Create and manage project solicitations in government financial systems.
- DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING, FINANCE, OR RELATED FIELD PREFERRED
- 42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- OR
- OR completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; AND 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- OR 12 mos. exp. as Financial Analyst, 66562.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
