Equipment Operator (Skid Steer, Mini Excavator)

Pay: $23–$25/hour (based on experience)
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator specializing in skid steer and mini excavator operation. This is not an entry-level position, we need someone who can step in and produce clean, accurate grades, and excavate for drainage projects with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Be able to pull a truck and trailer
- Perform rough and fine grading using a skid steer
- Final grade yards, driveways, building pads, and site work areas
- Street sweeps using a skid steer and bottom attachment
- Operate additional equipment such as a mini excavator as needed
- Maintain and inspect equipment daily
- Assist crew with general sitework when required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience in skid steeroperation
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and site prep
- Ability to produce clean, professional finish grades
- Experience with common attachments (grading bucket, blade, forks, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Additional Duties Include:
- Combination of running a skid steer for street sweeping, grading, excavating, and other miscellaneous jobs.
- Manual labor will be required, combination of operating and manual labor dependent on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
