Core Responsibilities
- Independently make complex determinations and/or recommendations to facility Superintendent, leadership and employees based on thorough analysis of facts
- Oversee and perform recruitment activities; research recruitment methods; advertise vacancies; schedule and conduct interviews; attend career fairs; coordinate onboarding of new employees
- Collaborate with Central Office Human Resources to formulate and implement program policies and procedures
- Develop strategic initiatives to manage absenteeism, disability separations and reinstatements to return employees to work timely and in compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain extensive knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, Ohio Civil Service law, Administrative Code, and DYS policies and procedures
- Participate in workforce planning and evaluation of workforce analytics
- Enter and approve personnel actions; review and approve performance evaluations; supervise and evaluate assigned staff
