What You Will Do
- Supervises assigned employees and implements operational and short‑range plans, including setting work priorities, schedules, equipment needs, and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluates work unit practices, recommends long‑term improvements, and updates policies and procedures as needed.
- Provides technical guidance to staff, determines material, manpower, and time requirements, and coordinates administrative functions with special project garages.
- Collaborates with Safety personnel on injury and accident claims and ensures accurate data entry in the transportation management system (TMS).
- Inspects highways to assess conditions and maintenance needs, operates heavy equipment to evaluate repair requirements, and oversees equipment inspection and maintenance scheduling.
