What You Will Be Doing

• Perform highway lighting reviews for ODOT projects.
• Evaluate railroad crossing preemption treatments for applicability.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Highway Lighting, Signal Design, and Preemption.
• Participate in railroad crossing field reviews.
• Assist with ongoing updates to Highway Lighting, Signal Design, and Preemption Standards.
• Assist districts with electrical and lighting issues in the field.

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.

Surveyors; 2 yrs. exp. as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction & training to employees engaged

in engineering projects or 2 yrs. exp. in managing engineering research projects (i.e., managing research projects applies

only to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess

valid driver’s license.
