- Learn from a licensed professional engineer about pavement engineering
- Assist with pavement engineering research & pavement design
- Assist in establishing research objectives & design of appropriate experiments to address objectives.
- Make recommendations to higher-level engineer on state-funded pavement-related research projects & assists with the implementation of successful research
- Assist with pavement design & rehabilitation analysis & recommendations for the Departments pavement design program.
- Able to work independently & collaboratively to interpret problems & develop solutions.

- Or Bachelor's degree in engineering; valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 2 yrs. engineering related experience.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
