Paid Civil Engineering College Internship, District 4 - 2026 Summer Construction Program
Work locations: You would be assigned to a project/projects in either Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit or Trumbull County

To be eligible, you must be in good academic standing, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and be able to provide proof of Enrollment Documentation including your GPA.
What You Will Do
Must currently be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and in good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA. Must show proof of valid driver's license in order to operate state vehicle.
The final candidate for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.

What You Will Do
- Learn proper procedures for contractor work, safety upgrades, signage, drainage, and concrete/pavement/material testing
- Assist in project report preparations
- Work alongside engineers in the field on projects ranging from simple road reconstruction to complex bridge construction
- Gain hands-on experience and learn civil engineering processes firsthand
- Receive pay based on your rank in school

- As an ODOT College Intern you may have the following opportunity:
