What You Will Do…
- Acts as assistant to the Park Manager overseeing park operations in their absence
- Recommend, oversee, and attend park events throughout the year
- Act as liaison between ODNR Parks Watercraft and special interest groups
- Acts as parks safety coordinator
- Supervise personnel both permanent and seasonal/intermittent positions
- Assist in the mission to provide exceptional outdoor recreation and boating opportunities by balancing customer service, education, protection and conservation of Ohio's state parks and waterway
- Starting hourly pay of $27.73/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 4.5 years of service, with an end salary of $34.35/hr.
- There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees E1 | Department of Administrative Services
- Or 18 mos. trg. or exp. in natural resources management, parks & recreation management, facility management, hospitality management, business or public administration or related operational area of parks (multiple as defined by approved position description); 6 mos. trg. or exp. in supervisory &/or management principles/techniques; valid driver’s license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
