What You’ll Do At DBH
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Position Qualifications
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code.

- Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients creating and executing treatment plans
- Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication and treatment
- As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support and direction for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery
- Contributes vital input on records, plans, and reports
- Facilitate patient group activities
- Utilize approved de-escalation techniques, support behavioral plans, and respond effectively to emergencies
- Provide supportive interactions, encourage coping skills, and maintain a safe and structured environment
- Promote dignity, respect, patient rights, and trauma-informed practices
