POSITION TITLE: 231- Stock Clerk 
LOCATION: Hospital Setting 
REPORTS TO: CFO

QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
• EXPERIENCE: 
  •     PREFERRED: Experience in shipping and receiving 
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR LICENSURE:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move boxes.
  • Communication skills.
  • Basic keyboarding skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, and lifting. Clear speech to communicate effectively with customers (e.g. patients, families, and other team members). Fine and gross motor skills. Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Maintain record of supply count. 
•    Print departmental charges and restock par-levels/supply closets each morning.
•    Receiving orders in computer system and matching packing slips with supply and quantity.
•    Complete inventory of par levels weekly. 
•    Perform end of month closing process for supply transactions.
•    Assist in annual hospital wide inventories.
•    Distribution of supplies.
•    Distribution of supplies to various departments within hospital.
•    Distribution of supplies to off-site locations.
•    Requisitions and special orders.
•    Distribute special order supplies when they come in promptly and to the various departments.
•    Maintain files of monthly requisitions. 
•    Assist delivery drivers.
•    Help drivers unload trucks as needed.
•    Sign bill of lading. 
•    Inspecting items received, notating any discrepancies or damaged shipments.
•    Mail
•    Process all outgoing mail daily.
•    Process Fed-Ex outgoing packages.
•    Customer service
•    Ensure customer and patient needs are met quickly and professionally.
•    Cooperates with staffing needs; assists in covering open shifts when needed. 
•    Familiar with waste segregation policy.
•    Knows and utilizes proper body mechanics. 
•    May be asked to be a member of QI Team.
