PURPOSE OF JOB: Patient service representative supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of
administrative duties as well as may be required to perform patient service representative duties as needed.
Responsible for the daily oversight of the patient access staff. This includes but it not limited to staffing,
scheduling, training/education, discipline and coaching. Responsible for all departmental audits and running
reports to identify corrections and errors within the department. The supervisor will maintain strong working
relationships with accessibility to other departments and work to provide education to staff on areas of need
for improvement or change. The supervisor has a general understanding of the workflow of the provider clinics.
Attends meetings and organizes staff meetings when needed.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Usual working space is a well-ventilated patient care and office area. Physical
requirements of this job are detailed within this job description. May assist with patient care on occasion. Also
subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens at all times in patient care. May have occasional exposure to
radiation during radiology procedures and to dangerous chemicals (cleaning and disinfecting agents). The
environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
1. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent (May be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6-months)
2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in like setting preferred.
3. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Current BLS provider or will obtain within six months of hire preferred. Other
requirements as outlined in Ohio County Healthcare policies and procedures (personnel policies,
employee health policies, knowledge and competencies/skills to perform job responsibilities). Basic
keyboarding/computer skills required.
