JOB DESCRIPTION: The Laboratory Inventory and Supply Clerk will provide support services.

MISSION STATEMENT: Ohio County Healthcare exists to provide quality nursing services to the
patients/customers of Ohio County Healthcare and surrounding areas needing this service.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking,
turning, bending, stooping, and lifting patients. Fine and gross motor skills. The environment may be stressful at
times, therefore the ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. May be exposed to bloodborne
pathogens at times in patient care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Consolidate and perform inventory counts for all lab departments, including pathology.
· Follow up on all orders for ETA and any issues. Any issues to be resolved.
· Find order equivalent for discontinued or backordered items as indicated
· Print & review Meditech orders for supply check in upon arrival, label all items with new lot stickers and receive dates which may require extended hours.
· Manage inventory management system for main lab departments except chemistry which uses OPIM.
· Set up barcode ordering system.
· Update and maintain departmental inventory forms.
· Take HIPPA waste to shred bins.
· All other duties assigned by Lab Leadership (that does not require a degree or certificate).
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
1. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent (May be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6-months)
2. EXPERIENCE: PREFERRED 1year
3. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Organized, keyboarding skills, self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Supply chain, Problem solving and communication with company representatives, proficient in Microsoft Office
