Description of General Duties:
- Identifies, creates, implements and performs detailed preventative maintenance procedures for systems and equipment necessary for daily mission operations.
- Utilizes IEMS systems (Maximo and SharePoint) to document work orders opened, file work log entries, create purchase requests and perform required receiving procedures for material and equipment received.
- When performing work, be responsible for adhering to environmental, safety and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must cease work and notify manager of all unsafe conditions.
- Must successfully complete all assigned training and ensure its entry into their training jacket, to include but not limited to monthly CTTR training assigned in SharePoint, government assigned in TWMS, and all other no-recurring training as assigned.
- Assist with equipment utilization and cost analysis optimization studies, engineering studies, integration and installation in support of program growth or other requirements.
- Inoperative systems support as assigned, to include actions necessary to return equipment/systems to operational status. Perform support actions to include equipment and software changes and additions relative to short-term operational test programs of range systems.
- Ensure all work performed on the site accurately documented in the IEMS.
- Assists in identifying sources for spare parts for electronic systems.
- Tower climbing certification may be required to accomplish specific maintenance.
- Any other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Manager.
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy "C" School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Two years' electronic maintenance in the following areas:
- Digital/analog signal processing;
- Electromechanical devices;
- Communications (multiplexer equipment, VHF, UHF, CB, microwave, fiber-optic);
- Digital/analog computer systems;
- DC power supplies;
- Test equipment
- Optical equipment;
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Minimum Position-Specific Training Required:
- Be able to maintain and operate the following equipment /systems using planned and unplanned maintenance including troubleshooting; disassembling, repairing, aligning, and testing:
- The WISS Control Indicator Group and Camera Group, Television air-to-surface weapon delivery scoring system. Preference for hiring given to applicants with this experience.
- UHF/VHF air-to-ground radio equipment
- Wind Indicator (UMQ-5)
- Internal Communication System
- Laser target system
- AWOS-3000
- Range surveillance system
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
- May be required to travel up to 20% in performance of work, government joint travel regulations are applicable to all travel.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis during work shift.
- Exposure to wildlife normally associated with remote locations are considered routine.
