Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 1:1 At Risk Youth Specialist to provide personalized support and mentorship to youth facing behavioral, emotional, or social challenges. In this vital role, you will work closely with at-risk children and adolescents, creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes growth, resilience, and positive decision-making. Your compassionate approach and proactive engagement will help empower youth to overcome obstacles and develop essential life skills. Duties
- Develop individualized activities tailored to each youth’s unique needs, strengths, and goals
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to foster trust, motivation, and positive behavior change
- Implement behavioral health interventions and conflict management techniques to de-escalate challenging situations
- Assist with daily activities
- Document interactions, progress notes, and incident reports accurately in compliance with program policies
- Provide direct supervision to youth at all times.
Requirements
The schedule is as followed;
Monday- Thursday - 2:00pm to 12:00am
OR
Friday - Sunday - 12:00pm to 12:00am
The following are required for employment -
- An AA in a closely related field and 3years experience working with youth.
- Experience working in high stress environments
TB test within the last year
- CPR trained or willing to obtain
Food Handlers card or willing to obtain
- BBP certification or willing to obtain
- Right Response Trained or willing to obtain
Willing to obtain 50 hours of yearly training
Must pass a background check
- Vehicle with insurance and willing to transport daily
* Must be on call one weekend a month with stipend
- Must have 3 references
The pay is negotiable depending on experience/qualifications. There is a mileage reimbursement rate as well as 40 hours of yearly PTO. We do not offer benefits at this time.
