What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Support Staff position at OHANA Crisis Center?
This position is covering Yakima County. You should expect to spend around 25-30 hours per week working with children and 10 hours per week from home working on case notes, documentation, etc.
Job Summary
As a Case Aide, you will provide essential support to youth with behavioral health needs. Your role will involve assisting parents/foster parents with children in the home, providing them with tools to utilize during outbursts and day to day functioning.
Duties
- Support individuals and families with behavioral needs
- Implement behavioral strategies and interventions as directed by the team
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Collect data on patient progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with Executive Director & Case Consultant
- Provide support in educational activities
- Provide Transportation to appointments
- Assist families in gathering and implementing community resources
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willing to obtain a CPR Card, Food Handlers Card & Blood Borne Path. Certification
- Willing to take a TB test, or have one that has been completed within the last year
- Willing to become Right Response Trained
- Have a reliable vehicle
- No tickets or traffic violations within the last 3 years
- No DUI’s
- Insurance coverage on vehicle
- 1 year of experience working with youth
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards youth and families
- Understanding of behavior analysis techniques
***You must be willing to work an on call rotating schedule 10 days a month to provide after hours assistance to families if needed. This is a stipend of 30 dollars per day. If you are called to work during your on call shift you will be paid the stipend plus your hourly rate from the time you clock in until you clock out***
