Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Prepare food items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Square
• Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and making change, while maintaining accuracy with retail math principles.
• Upsell additional products like specialty sundaes or drinks to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, including food handling, bussing tables, and sanitizing equipment regularly.
• Manage food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Support team members with food industry best practices, including quick service techniques in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or retail environments is preferred; experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning tasks as needed. Pay: $11.50 - $15.00 per hour
