What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Manager position at Oh My Darling?
Oh My Darling, a popular Downtown Syracuse Restaurant is looking for an experienced Manager to join the team!
Before getting into the specific responsibilities, we want to stress how important culture, optimism and energy all are to this position. You will be an integral part of the team and larger community. We have very high expectations, a zero tolerance for health code violations, and expect you to be able to lead the team through example.
Responsibilities may include:
- Insure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Leading, growing and mentoring our FOH team.
- Insuring customer satisfaction through "Table touches".
- In conjunction with the GM, respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
- Occassionally assisting kitchen in "expo" and packaging to-go foods
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Maintain or improve restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
- Assist in controlling operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
Skills
- Proven work experience in a management role.
- Proven customer service experience as a manager.
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Upserve and Avero.
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
- Acute financial management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
