Position Summary
The Knowledge & Innovation Premium Services Project Manager (PM) is responsible for helping to drive the Knowledge and Innovation department by working directly in the implementation and efficient execution of all project-type initiatives in the department. Essential Functions
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $107,744 and $134,680. In accordance with New York State’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $98,977 and $147,121. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $102,095 and $147,121. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $112,771 and $140,964. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act, the expected salary range for this DC position is between $112,771 and $140,964. In accordance with Maryland’s Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $102,095 and $127,619. In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act Transparency Notice, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $112,771 and $140,964. In accordance with Massachusetts Frances Perkins Workplace Equity Act, the expected salary range for this Massachusetts position is between $117,697 and $147,121. Essential Functions
- Assist teams in defining project scope, goals and deliverables that meet the business needs of the Firm and our clients.
- Develop project plans and create a framework for consistent project execution.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans, as needed.
- Effectively applies PMO methodology and enforces project standard.
- Minimizes exposure and risk on projects.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Partner with the Firm’s Directors including but not limited to Accounting, IT, HR, Operations, and Client Service departments.
- Develop and conduct training on project management processes for staff.
- Promote greater transparency, predictability, and accountability for all projects across the firm.
- Send system generated and custom developed reports with analytical observations to program participants
- Develop trainings and tools, and think strategically about ways to further the dissemination of portfolio management as a best practice
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or in a related area with 4 years of experience in a law firm or professional services organization or in a related area. PMP certification preferred.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Project administration and management experience beneficial. Previous experience in a partnership and professional services environment preferred.
- Proven ability to readily comprehend business objectives and develop and execute appropriate business strategies.
- Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint, OneNote and MS Teams
- Familiarity with Internet and web-based platforms. Smartsheet experience is a plus.
- Strong judgment and ability to make well-reasoned independent decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; strong reporting skills.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexible in adjusting plans and strategies as needed, demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges.
- Self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization. Strong interpersonal skills, including pleasant nature and ability to influence others.
- Organized, detailed oriented individual with good project management skills.
- Strong client service orientation.
