Adjunct Instructor Chemistry

The Oglethorpe University Chemistry Program is seeking adjunct instructors to teach General Chemistry I Lab during the Fall 2026 semester. The lab sections enroll no more than 16 students, so the learning environment is ideal for one-on-one faculty-student interactions. Applicants will be expected to foster an inclusive learning environment by engaging in and promoting diverse teaching, learning, and mentoring communities. 

Laboratory courses meet for one three-hour period each week. The semester runs from August 24^th to December 4^th, with final exams in the following week. Final grades for the semester are due on Tuesday, December 15^th. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field. Candidates who are ABD (all but dissertation) will also be considered.

Compensation:

CHM-101L (laboratory course): $1650/section/semester
