Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing regional accounting team. In this entry level role, you’ll support the operations of the company through general ledger management, financial reporting, and data analysis. The selected candidate will serve as the lead accountant for a number of these entities and will have daily interaction with management and other members of the accounting team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data and collaborate with management to identify trends.
- Coordinate with off-site staff to maintain subsidiary ledgers.
- File local taxes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or an Associate’s degree with equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage tasks independently.
