Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for each event, providing expert guidance throughout the planning process
- Develop comprehensive event plans including timelines, staffing, catering, décor, and technical requirements
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and entertainment providers to secure the best terms and services
- Coordinate all logistics related to venue setup, guest registration, seating arrangements, and equipment rentals
- Manage event marketing efforts to promote upcoming events through various channels and increase attendance
- Upsell additional services such as premium packages, catering upgrades, or special amenities to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Oversee on-site event operations ensuring smooth execution while maintaining high standards of guest service and safety
- Monitor budgets closely, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation to meet financial objectives
- Lead a team of event staff and vendors by providing clear communication, training, and support for successful event delivery
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement and client satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in events management within hospitality, hotel operations or restaurant settings with banquet experience preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Demonstrated ability in event marketing and promotional activities to boost attendance and revenue
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and financial management for large-scale events
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively
- Familiarity with catering operations, restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
- Experience in fundraising or guest services roles adds value to managing diverse event types
