Description
The Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth in Offix’s Mailing and Shipping Division by managing existing customer relationships, prospecting new business opportunities, and serving as a subject matter expert for mailing and shipping products. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, customer engagement, product expertise, and internal collaboration.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas in revenue, gross profit percentage, and gross profit dollars.
- Develop and execute effective sales call plans and prospecting strategies.
- Conduct needs assessments and system designs to support profitable product sales.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned Offix customers.
- Ensure regular customer engagement in line with Offix’s “Customer Touch” standards.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or written communication.
CRM & Activity Tracking
- Accurately input and maintain customer and opportunity data in the CRM system.
- Meet or exceed minimum activity levels as outlined by management.
Product Expertise & Team Support
- Serve as the internal expert on mailing and shipping products (e.g., FP Mailing, Formax).
- Provide training and support to the Offix sales team to enhance product knowledge.
- Act as a liaison between Offix and product manufacturers for updates and releases.
Networking & Business Development
- Attend networking events and join 3–5 organizations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, BNI, clubs) to generate leads.
- Prospect for new business through cold calling, meetings, and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or related work experience preferred
- 2 or more years of business to business selling experience (office product industry preferred)
- Knowledge of networking and solutions is valued
- Be able to work as a team
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, good driving record, and proof of car insurance
- Be able to communicate effectively by phone, electronically and in person Must demonstrate an appropriate level of Emotional Intelligence and personal responsibility
- Must be able to meet deadlines
