Commercial Litigation Associate/Counsel
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate or Counsel to join our Ft. Lauderdale office and support a growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated business litigation, hands-on case management, and working within a collaborative, entrepreneurial platform.
Responsibilities:
• Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
• Manage discovery and take/defend depositions
• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences
• Assist with trial preparation and overall litigation strategy
• Work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated business disputes
Qualifications:
• 5–15 years of commercial litigation experience focus on financial services, real estate, and creditors' rights matters a plus
• Strong experience with motions practice, court appearances, and depositions
• Trial and/or arbitration experience preferred
• Barred in Florida
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills

Salary : $160,000 - $185,000
