Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day support in the operation and maintenance of a commercial property. The ideal candidate will have broad building maintenance experience and the ability to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, inspections, and general facility support while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and professional building environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on building equipment and systems.
· Respond to tenant service requests and day-to-day operational needs.
· Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
· Conduct routine building and equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs.
· Perform light HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance and repairs.
· Perform carpentry, painting, and miscellaneous building repairs as needed.
· Assist with troubleshooting building equipment and operational issues.
· Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
· Support building projects and other facility maintenance activities.
· Follow established safety procedures and help maintain the property in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Required Qualifications
· Hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade.
· General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repair.
· Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot routine maintenance issues.
· Ability to work independently, follow direction, and complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
· Ability to communicate professionally with tenants, contractors, vendors, and team members.
Preferred Experience
· Previous experience working in a commercial, institutional, industrial, or other large facility.
· Experience performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections on building equipment and systems.
· Relevant maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or trade experience or certifications are a plus.
Compensation
$25.00–$28.00 per hour ($52,000–$58,240 annually), depending on experience and qualifications.
