Bankruptcy Litigation Paralegal - OFFICE OF THE CHAPTER 13 TRUSTEE - CLEVELAND
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 based on experience and qualifications
Full-Time: Hybrid remote and flex schedule available after fully trained

Duties: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience, including discovery and appeals, preferably in the Bankruptcy Court or Federal Court systems, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate, research and analyze petitions, plans, motions and objections filed in the bankruptcy court system
- Interpret court orders and track hearings, deadlines and filing requirements
- Retrieve case information and perform electronic filing through the CM/ECF system and other public or vendor databases as needed
- Verify case citations and legal references
- Assist in the preparation of pleadings, discovery and trial materials and exhibits
- Perform financial calculations related to case information
- Collaborate with attorneys and co-workers on work flow
- Maintain accurate records using case management software
- Assist with scheduling and conducting Trustee hearings via Zoom
Qualifications:
- Prior litigation experience preferred, including discovery and appeals
- Experience in consumer bankruptcy preferred
- Knowledge or capacity to learn federal court and bankruptcy court rules and procedures including local rules and administrative orders
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Adobe
- Must be able to pass a background check
