Role Description The Business Development Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the sales cycle from initial prospecting through closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching potential clients, conducting outreach via calls, emails, and in-person meetings, preparing proposals and presentations, and collaborating with design and project teams to align solutions with client goals. The associate will maintain accurate records in CRM systems, monitor market trends and competitor activity, and participate in networking events or trade shows to expand brand presence. Success in this role involves consistently meeting sales targets while providing consultative, service-driven support to current and prospective clients.

Qualifications

• Client outreach and relationship-building skills, including cold calling, networking, and business development activities.
• Sales and negotiation skills, with experience managing pipelines, preparing proposals, and closing deals.
• Ability to collaborate with design, project management, and operations teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with comfort speaking to stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Organizational and time management skills, including CRM usage, prospect tracking, and follow-up discipline.
• Basic understanding of commercial interiors, furniture solutions, or related industries is preferred.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, video conferencing tools).
• Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR, including occasional local travel to client locations.
