Episcope is a rapidly growing national hospitality company seeking a multi-unit manager to oversee our New York City cafés. We’re looking for an experienced manager who thrives in the world of coffee and hospitality. The ideal candidate has a love for coffee culture, from bean to cup, and understands how to create an atmosphere that delivers both speed and soul in a grab-and-go setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate team members on shifts, including task delegation (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), on-the-spot feedback, and training

Create an energetic, coffee-forward environment that excites both the team and guests

Support and model personnel policies, labor laws, and safety procedures

Ensure all security and operational procedures are executed (safe handling, opening/closing protocols, etc.)

Execute seamless transitions between opening, mid, and closing shifts

Deliver warm, genuine guest experiences and resolve guest concerns with care

Manage the line efficiently and lead by example, especially in coffee preparation and café operations

Uphold standards for product quality, with a special focus on coffee excellence

Jump in and work the line as needed, particularly in coffee and beverage service

Maintain all food safety, cleanliness, and organizational practices

Control food and beverage costs, labor, waste, and cash handling during shifts

Count cash drawers and complete accurate daily cash handling procedures

Help train new team members and reinforce best practices.

Monitor product quality, inventory levels, and presentation standards.

Assist with retail setup, restocking, inventory, and merchandising to keep displays inviting and well-stocked
- General barista knowledge including but not limited to semi-automatic espresso machine operation, dialing in espresso, general knowledge of coffee drinks & builds

Great communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with guests and peers

Minimum of 2 years barista experience
- Minimum of 2 years professional leadership experience in a cafe, retail, food market/grocery, or restaurant setting.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
