Job Title: Retail Team Lead (PT)
The Retail Team Lead is a part-time role that provides total solutions to our customers, encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings.
The Team Lead will quickly build and maintain customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing provided training to support sales offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, and contribute to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity.
- Demonstrate a passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered to our customers.
- Utilize Office Depot Inc.'s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers, drive the sales of our total offerings, and properly assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction in every interaction.
- Help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing our store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, and prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction.
- Perform External Key Carrier responsibilities, which include but are not limited to, opening & closing responsibilities and be scheduled for those respective shifts.
- Support efficient operation while driving overall store sales in the Print function.
- Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
- Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area, and to coordinate the appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
- Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
- In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; drive positive client satisfaction levels including coaching and training to associates to enhance the customer experience.
- Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
- Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
- In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance.
- May assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption and all related cash office audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
- Must possess ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
- Pays close attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area.
