A leading multidisciplinary transportation and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to join its Portland team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced transportation engineering professional who is passionate about creating safer, healthier and more sustainable communities through innovative active transportation and multimodal infrastructure projects.
The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of transportation projects from concept design through construction. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with planners, landscape architects, designers, outreach specialists and data analysts to deliver projects that improve connectivity, accessibility and quality of life for communities across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Projects range from Complete Streets and active travel infrastructure to regional bicycle networks, multi-use trails and large-scale transportation corridors.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead transportation engineering projects through all phases of delivery, from design to construction
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and scopes of work
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
• Ensure high-quality project delivery through robust quality control processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across planning, design and engineering functions
• Support business development activities and client relationship management
• Implement project delivery improvements and engineering best practices
• Balance team workloads and contribute to resource planning
• Support the successful delivery of sustainable transportation projects that positively impact communities
About You
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Traffic Engineer (TE) licence
• 12 years of transportation engineering experience
• Minimum 5 years' project management experience
• Minimum 3 years' people management or team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of active transportation, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure
• Experience preparing Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) packages for roadway projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel as required

Desirable Experience
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience managing large-scale public and private sector infrastructure projects
