Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team. The Host plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that their dining experience begins on a positive note. Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
- Assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Utilize the Toast POS system for order processing
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout the dining experience
Skills
- Previous host/host experience preferred
- Background in food service or restaurant industry is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with OpenTable
- Experience in guest services is a plus
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when taking reservations or inquiries
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive guest relations
- Knowledge of serving practices within a restaurant setting
