As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will lead the quality activities in the manufacturing environment, Including development and continuous improvement, ensuring accurate, up-to-date documentation and full traceability of records. You will oversee the end-to-end complaint and containment process, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will uphold product quality, safety, and compliance while consistently meeting key performance objectives for manufacturing area.

You will oversee the end-to-end complaint and containment process, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will uphold product quality, safety, and compliance while consistently meeting key performance objectives for manufacturing area.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support quality activities within a manufacturing environment, including continuous improvement of quality systems, documentation of quality requirements, and training of personnel. Apply quality tools and statistical methods to resolve manufacturing issues and provide informed judgment to production regarding product acceptability.
- Manage the complaint process for blow molding operations, including ongoing development and improvement of complaint handling systems. Coordinate containment activities to control suspect products resulting from internal or external issues.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and investigation activities, including review of PFMEA and initial control plans. Participate in APQP processes as needed, and coordinate PPAP documentation across all manufacturing areas, overseeing PPAP requirements for both new and existing projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis for internal, customer, and supplier defects. Develop and present countermeasure reports using methodologies such as 5 Whys, 8D, and similar problem-solving tools to ensure effective, system-wide corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality dashboards to monitor scrap and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze trends and drive corrective actions to reduce scrap and internal defects.
- Provide expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC), including process stability, capability analysis, and appropriate response to out-of-control conditions.
- Maintain document control systems to ensure traceability and compliance. Ensure all QA and production documentation is aligned, regularly reviewed, and updated as required.
- Monitor process performance, conduct capability studies, and initiate actions to improve efficiency and quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing scrap and waste in ongoing production.
- Safety is our highest priority. All employees are required to consistently follow established safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe footwear, and, where required, hearing protection.
- This role operates on the manufacturing floor in a non-climate-controlled environment. Employees should be comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot and cold) and in conditions that include exposure to forklift and pedestrian traffic, as well as elevated noise levels.
- This position supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation. While the standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexibility in work hours is required to meet business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related field (or equivalent)
- 7 years of experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and standards (ISO or IATF 16949) including Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
- Proficient with quality tools and standards such as APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPEC
- Strong command of problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, Ishikawa (Fishbone), and 5 Why
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal/external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently and drive actions to closure
