Job Description
As a Head of Product and Process Industrialization (PPI), you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all product and process industrialization activities to ensure achievement of budget, quality, and production targets. This includes driving improvements in operational efficiency through the reduction of scrap waste, optimization of cycle times, and enhancement of manufacturing performance. The role is also responsible for initiating, leading, and implementing continuous improvement action plans across all product and process industrialization activities to support operational excellence, productivity, and sustainable business growth.

As a Head of Product and Process Industrialization (PPI), you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all product and process industrialization activities to ensure achievement of budget, quality, and production targets. This includes driving improvements in operational efficiency through the reduction of scrap waste, optimization of cycle times, and enhancement of manufacturing performance. The role is also responsible for initiating, leading, and implementing continuous improvement action plans across all product and process industrialization activities to support operational excellence, productivity, and sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate product and process industrialization activities, translating business and project requirements into plant capabilities, capacity plans, and investment needs.
- Drive strategic and operational planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning, while ensuring financial targets and cost controls are achieved.
- In charge of change management for projects in our location, product ramp-ups and process changes, including new products, materials, equipment, and relocated processes, ensuring successful start-up and handover to production.
- Maintain and update production documentation such as process specifications, flow charts, control plans, work instructions, and FMEA in alignment with company standards.
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and process capability, while proactively addressing customer complaints and quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business units, and customers to align industrialization requirements, support product releases (e.g., PPAP), and drive project execution.
- Develop and coach team members, ensuring workforce capability through ongoing training, qualification programs, and performance management.
- Monitor and report KPIs related to cost, quality, and lead time, implementing corrective actions and ensuring compliance with standardization and continuous improvement practices.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical/ manufacturing engineering, chemistry or related discipline
- 3 years leadership and management experience
- 5 years professional experience in various process engineering functions
- Comprehensive experience in rubber and plastic production processes and ramp-up projects
- Project Management skills
- Experience in working with international teams on production topics and understanding foreign cultures
- Strong communications skills with demonstrated ability to include presentations, change management, negotiation and conflict resolution
- Cross functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, production or CBS (preferred)
